The Rajasthan government has unveiled plans to develop a high-tech city near Jaipur, aiming to bolster technological growth and generate employment opportunities. This initiative draws inspiration from successful models like Gujarat’s GIFT City and Hyderabad’s HITEC City.

Key Highlights:

Strategic Location: The proposed city will be situated on Jaipur’s outskirts, with potential sites including Phagi, Chaksu, Agra Road, and Delhi Road.

Comprehensive Planning: The city is designed to be self-sufficient, featuring core areas dedicated to technology industries and buffer zones for residential projects and amenities.

Government Support: The state government plans to offer incentives to companies in IT, finance, and technology research sectors to establish units in the new city.

This development is poised to alleviate urban pressures on Jaipur, which has a population exceeding 4 million, and to address unemployment by creating a hub for technology industries, including IT, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

The high-tech city is expected to accommodate approximately 200,000 residents and generate employment for around 50,000 individuals, significantly contributing to Rajasthan’s economic growth.

By fostering a conducive environment for technological advancements, the Rajasthan government aims to position the state as a leading destination for tech industries in India.
